“GIVE RESPECT TO GAIN RESPECT” Keep this phrase in mind whenever you are on the water.

Anyone who regularly surfs in the Bournemouth area knows the breaks can get overcrowded so please take care out there on your SUP during busy times and be respectful to other surfers. Search around for a less busy break. Keep the vibe happy, the water’s for all of us!!!

Newbies

If you are learning to SUP and have no previous experience, take your board into Poole harbour and practice balance and paddling and try to hook up with someone who can show you the basics.  Please feel free to contact BaySUP, SupStore or any of the other local SUP retailers.  People will be more than willing to help.

You’ll need to be competent in paddling, balance and basic surf knowledge before you should attempt to head into the surf. When you’re ready to start surfing, make sure you pick a day when the conditions are calm and there are no other surfers around. Try to go out with someone who is experienced in surfing as it will make things easier. If you need further advice or have any questions, please don’t hesistate to ask. We will be more than happy to help you.

Take care out there, stay safe and have a fun!
