Categories & Class:

14′ or under & Surf Shape

> There is no 12’6 category any longer due to the lack of interest and 14′ category being more popular. However if you have a 12’6 race board or any length raceboard under 14′ you can still enter.

Open 18-39, Masters 40-49, Vets 50+ (Men’s and Ladies)

  • Must have a minimum of 4 people to be a valid category. If minimum is not met, those entrants will move to the next suitable category
  • There is no 12’6 category this season. This is due to the lack of paddlers riding 12’6 boards nowadays and in the series last year we hardly had any 12’6 riders, sometimes none. This also follows global standards which is seeing less and less 12’6 category due to  low numbers
  • There is no separate inflatable class
  • UKSUP Clubs drafting rules apply
  • UKSUP Clubs starting procedures apply

    • You can paddle the said distance (but do not need previous race experience)
    • You can control your board competently
    • You can turn your board
    • You can swim
    • You have a leash and you must wear it. No leash no race.
